It is a War out there.......

This actually started as a comment to a post I read

What she has written is true.... and it is really sad and pathetic that such practices prevail still.

Quoting her, "how can I love a GOD that tells me that i cannot pray when I want to". You are very right in that!! I agree totally, but did that GOD tell you not to pray?? No I beg to differ here, it is some hypocrites who have contrived and bend the system for GOD alone knows what purpose.

And the question still in my mind is why??

I have stopped visiting any religious places long time ago. But does that make me any less religious?? Is my belief in GOD a party to my visit to these religious places?? If that is the case I would say "bollocks" and move on..

I have always believed in the fact that we have (or should I say had??) religious tolerance in our country. A (wo)man's religion is (her)his private affair. My religion is my own and I shall make no public statement on it. So it pains when all I see in the newspapers and the TV channels is religion religion and more religion. Casteism, gender discrimination etc. etc. And people destroying (wo)men and material just on these basis.

Why can't we treat a human being as just another human being, irrespective of his race, color or creed? I remember singing a community song everyday during my school days. It used to be in different languages. I never understood them at that time, except for being a necessary evil. But now when I think back upon those lines " Mazhab nahi sikhata aapas mein bair rakhna ". Have we forgotten all those.

I don't know what the future holds, but if all this is what we have to see, then it is really sad.

You are taught when you are little that those are God's rules. It is when you grow up that you unlearn.

Thanks for visiting my blog.
