I was reading through my friend’s blogpost the other day and felt I should also write about it. Was held up with a little work and the words just wouldn’t take shape in the mind. But now….
n Sri Ram’s army (Sene, Sena whatever) was that of monkeys (no disrespect intended).
n Sri Ram was the person who asked Mata Sita to give agni pariksha.
There is a lot of talk about western culture influencing young people, pubbing culture being rampant etc. etc. by many so called protectors of the Indian culture. I have but a simple question to these people, what do you mean by culture? These people have no respect for anything and they call themselves protectors! J Anyways, as the hatter puts it, it is probably the Fatwa envy that has been the cause of all these recent bad and petty quarrels.
n There are these religious fanatics who will define the ways we pray.
n There is this minister who tells us what to eat and what to drink.
n There are censor board people who will decide what should go into a movie and what is not appropriate.
n There are these so called moral police who will decide what we should wear.
n Then there are some commentators who have not played a single test and commenting on a Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid’s batting.
There are lot many more than I could care to write. Is it that all of us are retarded (I guess that is the correct word), that we always need someone to think for us.
This is to all of us…..
PS: All the opinions are my own and I think I am entitled to it as is anyone else to theirs. Just for the record I am not a Hindu basher or a leftist or a right winger or a pseudo secularist and my political inclining and my religion is my own choice and I need not make a public statement on it!! J

Nice remarks there Ajay... You were lucky, you dint get censored!! Funny though that these Pro-Hindu "Sena" has never thought of using their resources(money, manpower and political backing) to crack down on the radical pro islam terror outfits and fighting them to make our country safer or against corrupt politicians.. I guess they are only keen on "cultural activities"! and messing with people who are powerless and cannot defend themselves. Do they have the guts to fight a real threat outfit like JeM or the others, Who Will retaliate hard at them?? I don't think so. They are only capable of hitting "unarmed women".
Jai Sree Ram.
@Manish,
Thanks for the visit man! As I said, I do not have anything more to say! Everyone to his/her opinions!
:)
You are safe, as the protectors doesn't have time or patience to read your blog. They have so much to do and change before dawn :)
Really nice thoughts...
@Abhi
Yes man very true...
@Ashu
Thanks for the visit and comment!
Ajay i think this moral policing is nathing to do with cultural, value,religion....they are fighting space for them self(I call it is fight againest imbalance in socity). Only few ppl having laxury life, lot space in media, What ever do it become news, what ever theay say it will become policy by govt, so on.....mejority of ppl left beyond by few page3 ppl. When such gap in socity become wider n wider such moral policein will start. Same thing happen Nepal(againest King). In Iran 100 year ago, civil wars in som afircan nations...
@Arun,
Thanks for the visit. As I said, individual opinions. But this is not the way to start the civil war is it?? Attacking women folk?
I agree with what you say about the undue attention given to PAGE 3 people. I too do not like it, but i would not resort to hitting them to get publicity for myself. why not do something creative and help people and then claim headlines!!
he heeh.. the bullet points are too good!
@Sneha,
Thanks!
:)
Only the bullet points???
:(
Thanks for the visit!!
Totally agree with you Ajay, these people really have no idea what culture means and they look at all actions through their perverted minds. They need to realize that democracy means they are free to hold different views, but it does NOT mean that they can force their viewpoints on everybody else. Use of force should never be justified.
I remember watching an interview on NDTV of some activists of the groups who were involved in the recent church attacks in Mangalore. They defended most of their actions with some strange twisted logic. Then the interviewer asked a simple question: why don't you put your activist energy into fields such as fighting illiteracy or corruption or some other useful activities. They had no answer. That tells you all you need to know about these folks..
Cheers,
Adi
P.S: btw, cool blog. liked your auto/bmtc posts :-)
